Meet the Founders
Founded by nurses. Built for patients and families.
Meshach and Rita Aneke are Registered Nurses who watched too many patients leave the discharge bay without a plan for the ride home. Merit Care was built to close that gap — and to treat transportation the way nurses treat the patient: with patience, attention, and respect.
Between them: nursing experience across veterans’ care, intermediate hospital care, behavioral health, and hands-on patient companion work. That background shapes how every Merit Care ride is planned, communicated, and delivered.
