Why It Matters

The ride matters because the appointment matters.

Chemotherapy and infusion days can be long, emotional, and physically draining. Families aren’t just trying to get someone from one place to another — they’re trying to protect the day from missed appointments, confusing pickup times, rushed communication, and unnecessary stress.

Merit Care Enterprises was built to support that moment with transportation that feels organized, respectful, and centered around the realities of treatment.

A Day With Merit Care

Some days, getting there is the part you can’t do alone.

Her first chemo infusion is today.

Her husband would drive her himself — but he can’t. His wheelchair sits where the driver’s seat would be. He’s carried her through every season of life, and on the one morning he wishes most that he could be the one taking her, he can’t.

So he does what every caregiver eventually has to do. He trusts someone else with the most important drive of the week.

Merit Care exists for the moments when getting there is the part you can’t do alone.

  1. A Merit Care driver assisting a woman from her front door for her first chemotherapy appointment, her husband watching from the doorway
    Step 01 · Pickup

    He watches from the doorway.

He wants to be the one driving. He can’t. But when Merit Care pulls up — on time, calm, prepared — he can finally exhale. She’s in good hands. He doesn’t have to choose between being a husband and being a caregiver today.

  2. A Merit Care driver helping a client arrive at the infusion center entrance
    Step 02 · Arriving

    We walk her in.

The infusion center can feel cold and clinical on a good day. On the first day, it’s overwhelming. We don’t drop her at the curb. We walk her in — through the door, to the check-in desk, settled before we step back.

  3. A Merit Care professional waiting respectfully in the infusion center waiting room while the client receives treatment
    Step 03 · The Infusion

    She’s not alone.

Some companies drop and disappear. We don’t. We’re in the waiting room. When her infusion runs three hours instead of two, we’re still there. When her husband texts to check on her, someone answers. She’s not facing this alone — and neither is he.

  4. A Merit Care driver helping a woman home after her chemotherapy treatment, her husband waiting at the door
    Step 04 · Home, Safely

He’s been waiting at the door.

He’s been watching the window for the last hour. When the van pulls up, he’s already there — ready. We walk her to him. We don’t leave until she’s settled. The hardest day of the week is over, and the people who matter most are back in the same room.

This is what healthcare transportation looks like when the patient is treated like a person — not a pickup.

What to Expect

Treatment-day transportation, by design.

Treatment days follow a schedule. Our process is built to protect that schedule from the first pickup to the return ride home.

01

Appointment-protective scheduling

We confirm appointment time, pickup location, and arrival planning so the day starts with structure — not guesswork.

02

Calm, professional presence

Treatment days are physically and emotionally demanding. Our team communicates respectfully and maintains a steady presence throughout the ride.

03

Predictable pickup windows

Structured pickup timing reduces confusion, especially for early-morning appointments and recurring treatment schedules.

04

Coordinated return planning

For round-trip rides, we discuss expected appointment length and return method during scheduling — and we adjust if treatment runs long.

If the appointment runs longer than expected, we communicate and adjust the return plan as needed.

Why Nurse-Founded Matters

Built by someone who understands treatment-day realities.

Chemotherapy and infusion appointments aren’t “just a ride.” They’re part of a treatment plan — one where timing, energy, communication, and dignity matter.

Merit Care Enterprises was founded by Meshach and Rita Aneke, both Registered Nurses, which means our transportation process is shaped around more than mileage. It’s shaped around the needs of the person, the appointment, and the family coordinating the care.

Compassion in Motion. Care in Every Mile.
